Settings for cookies, JavaScript, and Pop-up blocking
Additionally, your browser must be configured to accept cookies, run Javascript and allow popups from leaderservices.com. Some of these settings are generally enabled by default. To check if your browser has these options enabled:

Mozilla Firefox 1.5
Click Tools > Options. Select "Content" from the menu on the top. Make sure the checkbox next to "Javascript" is checked. Click the advanced button to the right of "Javascript" and make sure that at least the following are checked:

  • Move or resize existing windows
  • Raise or Lower windows
  • Change status bar text
  • Change images

Click the "Allowed Sites" button across from "Block Popup Windows." If "www.acmontheweb.com" does not appear in the list, enter it into the text box (without the quotation marks) and click "Allow."

Select "Privacy" from the menu on the top. If there is no checkmark next to the "Allow sites to set cookies" option, click the box to check it. Click OK.

Mozilla 1.7
Click Edit > Preferences. In the Category Window, expand the Privacy and Security option by clicking the + sign next to it. Click the Cookies option. On the right side of the screen, make sure the Enable All Cookies or Enable Cookies for the originating web site only option is selected. In the Category Window, expand the Advanced option by clicking the + sign next to it. Click the Scripts and Plugins option. On the right side of the screen, make sure there is a checkmark in the Javascript box for Navigator, and that all boxes are checked in the Allow Scripts To window.

In the Category Window, click the Popup Windows item. Either:

  • If you checked the box next to Block unrequested popup windows, click the Allowed Sites button. Type www.acmontheweb.com in the box on the top of the screen and click the Add button. Then click OK.

Or

  • Uncheck the box next to Block unrequested popup windows.

Internet Explorer 6
Click Tools > Internet Options. Click the Security tab. Click the Custom Level button. Scroll down to Active Scripting and make sure that Enabled is selected. Click the Privacy tab and select at least Medium (which is the default; if you otherwise customize your settings for cookies, you must allow first-part cookies in order for the site to function). Click OK.

If you are using Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP with Service Pack 2, click Tools --> Pop-up Blocker. Either:

  • Click Pop-up Blocker Settings. Type www.acmontheweb.com in the box on the top of the screen and click the Add button. Then click Close.

Or

  • Click Turn off Pop-up Blocker.

Netscape Browser 8.1
Click Tools > Options. Click Site Controls. In the Site List tab, click the Add Site button. In the Domain field, type www.acmontheweb.com. In the Initial Trust Settings, select "I Trust This Site." Click the Add Site button. In the Web Features section, make sure Enable JavaScript/VBScript is checked.

Apple Safari 1.3:
Click Safari > Preferences. Click the Security icon. Make sure there is a checkmark next to "Enable JavaScript." Under Accept Cookies, make sure either Always or Only from sites you navigate to is selected.

Click Safari -> Block Pop-Up Windows to uncheck the pop-up blocker option (alternatively, press and hold Command [the Apple or "flower" key] while pressing "K" on your keyboard to toggle the pop-up blocker on or off).

If you are using a third-party cookie-blocking utility, check the product's documentation to change your settings to allow cookies for leaderservices.com.

Proxy servers and browser caches
Caching refers to the local storage of web pages on a local school district server or your browser's cache in order to improve performance. Caching, however, can disrupt the proper operation of this site. Proxy servers at your school district should be set to NOT cache pages from this site, as this could interfere with the proper operation of the site. Additionally, your web browser should not be set to cache pages.
